Year in School: Senior
Major/Minor: Supply Chain Management/Marketing
Expected Graduation: 2019
Aside from my dynamic co-curricular involvement, I am also a supply chain professional. I was blessed with the opportunity to receive an early start in my career as a Strategic Operations Intern for Land O' Lakes in Minneapolis, MN. Upon completion of my Bachelor's degree, my plans are to continue my education while pursuing a Masters of Business Administration degree with a specialization in International Business. While attending graduate school, I will work full-time as a supply chain business operations associate for a fortune 500 company that specializes in technology. My goal is to ensure that I develop innovative solutions to help the company grow more efficiently in daily operations. But most importantly be an advocate for diversity & inclusion, and the recruitment of young HBCU professionals. My overall career goal, is to be an entrepreneur and open my own young adult boys & girls club in Charleston, SC. I believe it is important to shine the light on our younger generations and give back to my community.
Since high school, I developed a passion to serve others, mentor youth, and empower others to get involved to make a positive impact. Even before my arrival at North Carolina A&T State University, I exemplified the passion and leadership qualities that led me to become an outstanding servant and representative. Throughout my tenure here at A&T, I have actively pursued ways to influence others while having fun serving the campus and community. During the 2016-2017 academic school year, I served as an Orientation Student Leader for the Department of New Student Programs, assisting the university in recruiting the Class of 2020. I began my SGA career as Mister Sophomore implementing community service for the Class of 2019, and worked along-side Housing & Residence Life as a Resident Assistant. In the 2017-2018 school year, I became a member of the Mu Psi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., assisted our SGA Administration as an SGA Intern, and served in the hometown club South Carolina Aggies. Currently, I am the 10th Mister A&T for my beloved university, and in my free time from campus and community involvement I enjoy watching Marvel movies, listening to freestyles on YouTube, traveling, and trying new food.
What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus King?:
Since my freshman year, each Mister has taught me how to search for the King within me all while learning how to delegate, empower, and inspire others to raise the standard and stay a cut above because our black community can no longer be forced into the box society attempts to place us in. Standing on the platform of Mission S.O.S (Service Over Self), my most memorable contribution would be my vow to bridge together all students on my campus, reminding them they are destined for greatness, and present them with all necessary resources to become the individual they are hoping to be. Next would be my mission objective "Tailored to you". This objective is focused on the Men of A&T creating progressive, empowered, and professionals out of the male population on our campus by being the driving force to create a fresh new image of what the Aggie man can look like. HBCU Kings can serve as the driving force within the black community as agents of change to remind us all to believe in Mission "Service Over Self," because in order to change the world we must change ourselves.
