Michelle Williams Updates Fans After Checking Into Mental Health Facility

Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams recently checked into a mental health facility to address the resurgence of her years-long battle with depression. TMZ confirmed the gospel songstress is receiving treatment just outside of Los Angeles, with Williams herself now thanking fans for their support.

The soon-to-be-wed beauty shared her progress via Twitter, letting those concerned know she’s doing much better!

The “survivor” was also honest with her supportive fan base when she decided to seek help, explaining why she felt it necessary to seek the care of “healthcare professionals” in a lengthy Instagram post.

“For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it’s time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your well being. I recently listened to the advice I have given to thousands around the world and sought help from a great team of healthcare professionals.”

Williams has been very transparent with her struggles, revealing on The Talk that she was once depressed to the point of wanting to commit suicide.
