Kenan & Kel Return: The Pair to Executive Produce ‘All That’ Reboot

Kel Mitchell announced Thursday he would be joining fellow comedian and former co-star Kenan Thompson as executive producer of Nickelodeon’s reboot of their ’90s sketch series, All That.

“We been talking about it. It’s going down, and we not gonna let ya’ll down,” Mitchell said in a video posted to his Twitter page.

He continued, “It’s going to be awesome” before Thompson appeared on camera and declared, “It’s the truth, baby!”

“My bro @kenanthompson and I are about to take this to a whole new level!,” the Game Shakers actor captioned the clip.

On Feb. 14, it was revealed that Thompson, the longest-tenured Saturday Night Live cast member, would work on the All That revival. Few other details were provided about who else would be a part of the cast and crew.

The comedians have a storied relationship. Both appeared on All That as teenagers. They later starred in their own sitcom, Kenan & Kel, from 1996 to 2000, and in the 1997 cult classic film Good Burger. But in the 2000s, they grew apart.

Mitchell and Thompson reunited during a one-hour special of Nickelodeon’s recently rebooted game show, Double Dare, on Nov. 21, 2018.

The network will also be bringing back Are You Afraid of the Dark? as well as Rugrats, Double Dare, Rocko’s Modern Life and Hey Arnold!.
