STARZ Enlists Orlando Jones to Celebrate Black History Month

Throughout February, STARZ will honor Black History Month by airing a collection of award-winning and critically acclaimed movies, shows and documentaries that focus on the sociopolitical struggles of African-Americans.

On Friday, the network released a 90-second spot starring actor Orlando Jones that highlighted the featured projects including the film Coming to America; documentaries Finding Fela and
Olympic Pride, American Prejudice; and television series Stanford & Son and The Bernie Mac Show.

“This is for the originals,” Jones declared. “For the gods and goddesses who shaped us. For the first to tell our stories. For the laughs we made, the triumphs we shared [and] the pain we felt together.”

According to a press release obtained by EBONY, films including Eve’s Bayou will be available for viewing on the premium network along with download and streaming options on the STARZ app.
