After revealing that her latest single, “Sex With You,” was inspired by hubby Waka Flocka, the Baltimore native shared her biggest musical inspirations, including Mariah Carey, Brandy and Mary J. Blige.

“Any old-school R&B that feels good, that sounds good … I was born in 1986, and our era of music was just lit!”

Waka, the first to co-sign his lady’s talent, called her upcoming album, which is dropping this summer, “fire.”

“Her album is crazy. It’s good enough to make me say that I can retire. It’s that fire.”
