Diddy Thanks Family For Pulling Him Out of ‘Deep Depression’

Sean “Diddy” Combs is crediting his family with bringing him out of a “deep depression” this holiday season, sharing the sentiment along with a photo of his mother, Janice Combs, and twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, on Instagram.

“Mama and the babies ?????? GOD IS SO GOOD,” the Bad Boy founder wrote. “THE GREATEST!!! I’m the luckiest man in the world. The way my family has been strong has humbled me. They have led me. They brought me out of a state of deep depression.”

He went on, “Their strength and love brought me back into the light. I love my family!! ? THANK YOU GOD @CombsFamily #MamaCombs @the_combs_twins @myfancychance they’re all born on the same day!!!! Dec 21. My mother and the twins.”

Just weeks after the passing of their mother, Kim Porter, Diddy threw a 1980s-themed birthday bash for his twin girls. Good friend JAY-Z brought daughter Blue Ivy along, and Kim Kardashian-West arrived with son, Saint West. Big brothers Justin and Christian Combs were also present.

Born and raised in Compton, California, Jessica Bennett began her career as an intern at The Oakland Post, and later, The Source Magazine. She went on to write for respected hip hop publications such as DJ Booth and Hip Hop DX before becoming the Urban Editor of pop culture website, Wetpaint.com. She joined Ebony as the Entertainment Editor August 2017. Bennett has interviewed such names as Vanessa Williams, Spike Lee, Tyra Banks, Forest Whitaker, Magic & Cookie Johnson and several others.
